Description
The STIHL BG 86 is a brilliant petrol-powered blower which has been designed to clear large areas of leaves and grass. It’s suitable for use in dusty areas thanks to its new HD2 filter. The STIHL BG 86 petrol blower features 2 nozzles, flat and round, an economical 27.2CC 2-MIX engine and a locking throttle lever for easier use over longer periods. Also fitted to the BG 86 Petrol Blower is a fantastic STIHL Anti-Vibration system a manual fuel pump for easy starting and a comfortable soft-grip handle.
An optional shredder/vac kit is available to turn this fantastic machine into a shredder vac and a handy 3m gutter extension is also available to clean those hard-to-reach gutters.
Reduced emission engine technology
A 2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This gives the tools more power, lower weight and up to 20% lower fuel consumption than a regular 2-stroke engine. It will also significantly reduce exhaust emissions.
Manual fuel pump (Purger)
A small fuel pump delivers fuel straight to the carburettor at the push of a button. This will significantly reduce the number of strokes required to start the tool following extended breaks in operation.
STIHL Elasto Start
STIHL Elasto Start technology reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting. The compression shock is taken away from the user?s joints and muscles through a spring or rubber element in the starter handle.
HD2 Filter
The HD2 filter, made from polyethylene filter material, has pores which are up to 70% finer than those of fleece and polyamide filters. This helps to eliminate even the finest of dust. In addition to this, it repels oil and water and is therefore exceptionally easy to clean. The PET filter cartridge can be removed and inserted without tools.
One-handled control with soft grip area
The handle has a soft grip area which provides a secure and comfortable grip. The integrated anti-static system counters any electrostatic charging.
Throttle lock with built-in stop switch
The machine switches off immediately after a brief press of a button. Once the machine has shut off completely ignition activates again automatically, this means the machine is ready to go at all times and reduces the chances of flooding.
Anti-vibration System
Power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in your hands and arms due to the intense vibrations they cause. STIHL has helped overcome this issue by developing an effective anti-vibration system where the oscillations from the high-speed engine are dampened, thus, reducing the vibrations a user feels through the handles.
