Description
Introducing Beaphar Lactol Feeding Syringes:
Beaphar Lactol Feeding Syringes are indispensable tools for nurturing very young or weak animals. This pack includes two 12ml syringes, specially designed to support hand-rearing with Beaphar Lactol or Beaphar Small Animal Milk.
Key Features:
1. Versatile Milk Replacer Compatibility: Beaphar Lactol Feeding Syringes are not limited to specific milk replacers. While they are ideal for Beaphar Lactol Kitten Milk or Puppy Milk, or Beaphar Small Animal Milk, they can be used with any animal milk replacer available.
2. Support for Hand-rearing: These syringes are expertly designed to provide essential care for newborn, underweight, and orphaned kittens, puppies, and small animals during their most delicate stages of life.
3. Tailored for Young Animals: The syringes are thoughtfully crafted to facilitate the feeding of newborn and growing animals, including kittens, puppies, guinea pigs, rabbits, hedgehogs, and more.
4. User-friendly: Filling the blunt-ended syringe with Beaphar Lactol is a simple process. Gently pressing the plunger ensures smooth liquid flow. Recognizing when an animal has finished feeding is important ? if they begin chewing instead of sucking, it indicates that feeding is complete, and the syringe should be withdrawn.
5. Two Syringes in One Box: Each pack contains two 12ml syringes, one with a blunt tip and another with a tapered tip, providing flexibility in feeding different animals.
How to Use:
1. Before use, ensure all equipment is clean and sterile, preferably by soaking them in a sterilizing solution.
2. Prepare the milk replacer as directed, allowing it to cool to lukewarm temperature (around 38?C or blood temperature).
3. Fill the blunt tip syringe with the prepared milk replacer and gently press the plunger to ensure smooth liquid flow.
4. For added support, use a towel to hold the animal, helping to restrain limbs if necessary and absorb any spills.
5. Gently press the plunger to release a bead of liquid onto the tip of the syringe and touch the animal’s tongue. This mimics the feeling of a nipple, triggering swallowing. Continue until the animal seems content. Avoid squeezing too hard to prevent liquid from entering the lungs.
If the above method does not work, switch to the tapered tip syringe.
6. Gently insert the tapered tip syringe into the animal’s mouth, releasing a few drops into the cheek, and allowing the animal to swallow.
