How to Use:
1. Prior to use, ensure that all components are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized. A recommended method is to soak them in a sterilizing solution.
2. Prepare the milk replacer as directed, allowing it to cool to lukewarm temperature (around 38?C or blood temperature).
3. Adjust the teat by puncturing the top with a thick needle or cutting a small piece off with scissors, taking care not to create an opening that might cause gagging.
4. Pour an appropriate amount of the prepared milk replacer into the bottle and securely reseal it. (For Beaphar Lactol, refer to the feeding guidelines on the tub).
5. Gently insert the teat into the animal’s mouth, releasing a few drops into the cheek, and allowing it to swallow. Be cautious not to squeeze too hard, as it might force liquid into the lungs.
6. Prevent young animals from chewing on the teat. If they start chewing instead of sucking, it indicates they have finished feeding, and the bottle should be withdrawn.
7. After each use, thoroughly clean the bottle and rubber teat. If dish-washing liquid is utilized, ensure to rinse thoroughly afterward.
